Nutricia North America Inc. issued a voluntary recall of 14-ounce cans of Neocate Infant Formula because it does not contain as much protein as listed on the labels. About 3,700 cans are affected.

While there is no immediate risk of injury or other adverse health affects due to the limited formulation, long-term consumption may affect the growth of certain babies.

The recalled formula, lot P91877, was distributed between September 1 – 11. No other Neocate products are affected by the recall.

The company can be contacted at 800-365-7354.
